'Teaching Diversities: Same Sex-Attracted Young People, CALD communities and Arts based Community Education' Report
'Teaching Diversities' is a 2011 research report released by Victoria University in collaboration with the Centre for Multicultural Youth. The research was a community consultation of culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) young people on their experiences of sexual diversity and homophobia.
Young people (SSA and non-SSA) and service providers were consulted on the needs of SSA young people from emerging cultural backgrounds, specifically intergenerational conflict and ideas for arts-based community education about same sex attraction within CALD communities, including arts-based best practice models to achieve the project aims.
Please read through the findings from this community consultation in the report attached.
